A spasso per il Veneto con il Giorgione

 Cari Erasmini,

Ancora una volta vi invitiamo ad un impedibile viaggio alla scoperta delle meraviglie del territorio veneto, tra castelli e fossati, borghi medievali e ville romantiche, da concludere degnamente con degli ottimi vini locali ;)

Visiteremo Castelfranco Veneto (circa 45 minuti da Padova), Asolo (circa mezzora da Castelfranco Veneto), e una villa del Palladio a Maser (15 minuti da Asolo).

La gita è organizzata per Domenica 21 febbraio (si farà anche in caso di pioggia). Il punto di incontro è alle ore 9.30 alla stazione dei treni, davanti il deposito delle bici. Il ritorno è previsto indicativamente alle ore 20.30/21 alla stazione dei treni.

La prima tappa sarà Castelfranco Veneto: una deliziosa città murata con un castello medievale ben conservato. Qui andremo a vedere anche la mostra dedicata al pittore Giorgione. Questo museo è un eccezionale evento espositivo perché il 2010 è il cinquecentenario della nascita del più enigmatico e misterioso artista rinascimentale, saranno esposti 18 dipinti attributi al Giorgione e 126 opere di Raffaelo, Perugino, Bellini, Tiziano e altri. Qui pranzeremo poi al sacco, quindi portatevi dei panini ;)

Poi ci trasferiremo ad Asolo, considerato uno dei più belli e pittoreschi borghi d’Italia. Passeggeremo tra palazzi quattrocenteschi, la cattedrale romanica, le mura e faremo i 276 gradini che conducono alla Rocca, fortezza medioevale (XIII sec.), sulla sommità del monte Ricco, da dove ammireremo la splendida vista delle colline circostanti.

Concluderemo la giornata alla Villa di Maser, uno dei capolavori di Andrea Palladio, Patrimonio dell'Umanità UNESCO e rimasta al centro della sua fiorente tenuta agricola, dalla cui Cantina storica escono vini di grande pregio. All'interno si possono ammirare ben sei sale affrescate da Paolo Veronese. Una breve passeggiata tra i vigneti porta alla collezione di carrozze dove sono raccolte una trentina di esemplari dei mezzi di trasporto dei secoli passati.

Al termine approfitteremo di una sosta ristoratrice per una degustazione con vini DOC tipici di Maser accompagnati da formaggi dell’Altamarca trevigiana e ottimi salumi.

Il prezzo della gita è 15 € e comprende: viaggio in pullman e degustazione. Facoltative invece sono: (ma dovete dirci se volete farle quando vi iscrivete)

- La visita al museo del Giorgione (costo 8 euro)
- La visita alla villa di maser (costo 5 euro)

IMPORTANTE: Diteci se volete farle quando venite a iscrivervi, perchè dobbiamo prenotare!!!

NOTA: non dimenticate di portare un pranzo al sacco, perchè la degustazione è prevista per la serata!!!

Ricordatevi che l’evento è con lista e i posti sono limitati, quindi passate il prima possibile in ufficio per iscrivervi, non oltre Mercoledì 12 febbraio!!

Dear Erasminis,

Once again we invite you for a great trip to explore the wonders of the Veneto’s region: castles and moats, medieval villages and romantic villas, and we will end the day with some excellent local wines ;)

We will visit Castelfranco Veneto (about 45 minutes from Padua), Asolo (about half an hour from Castelfranco Veneto), and a villa by Palladio in Maser (15 minutes from Asolo).

The trip is scheduled for Sunday, 21st of February (also with raining weather). The meeting point is at 9.30 am at the train station, in front of the “bike’s parking place - deposit”. The return it will be around 8.30/9 pm at the same place.

First we will visit Castelfranco Veneto: a lovely walled city with a well preserved medieval castle. Here we will also see the exhibition dedicated to the painter Giorgione. This museum is a unique exhibition event because 2010 is the five hundredth anniversary of the birth of the most enigmatic and mysterious Renaissance artist, in the museum there are 18 his paintings and 126 attributes to the works of Giorgione, Raphael, Perugino, Bellini, Titian and others]. Here we will stop for the lunch packed, so bring a sandwich with you ;) 

Then we will move to Asolo, one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages in Italy. We will be walking through fifteenth century building, the Romanesque cathedral, the walls and we will do the 276 steps leading to the medieval fortress (XIII sec.), on the summit of Monte Ricco, and from here you can enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding hills. 

We will end the day at Villa Maser, one of the greatest works of Andrea Palladio, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The villa is remained at the heart of its thriving agricultural estate, whose wine cellar out of great historical value. Inside is possible to visit the six rooms with frescoes by Paolo Veronese. A short walk through the vineyards leads to the collection of carriages where they collected some thirty specimens of vehicles of the past. 

After it will be the time of a refreshment break for a tasting with typical wines DOC from Maser, cheese dell'Altamarca Treviso and excellent salumi.

The price of the trip is 15 € and it includes: the travel by bus and the tasting. Optional are:

- Visit to the Museum of Giorgione (cost 8 euro)
- Visit to the Villa di Maser (cost 5 euro)

IMPORTANT: Tell us if u wanna visit them when u subscribe, cause we have make a reservation!!!

PS: Don’t forget to bring a packed lunch, because tasting is provided/organized for the late afternoon!
